About me
Your Neighbor with a Toolbelt
CJ Pace, Owner
I'm a local handyman based in Madrid, Iowa. I started Heartland Home Projects because I believe good work shouldn't be hard to find — or hard to afford.
Why I Do This Work
I grew up watching my dad fix things around the house — nothing fancy, just practical, honest work. Over the years I picked up the skills, and eventually I realized I could put them to use for my neighbors too.
I started Heartland Home Projects to offer something simple: a reliable person you can call when something needs fixing or improving. No big company, no runaround — just me showing up, doing the job right, and leaving your home better than I found it.
I live right here in this community with my wife and three boys. I care about the work I do here. And I stand behind every job I take on.
Honest pricing
You'll know what the job costs before I start. No surprises, no hidden fees.
Reliable and on time
I show up when I say I will. Your time matters.
Quality work
I take pride in doing things right — not just fast.
Local and invested
I live here too. My reputation is built one job at a time.
